SheCanova was born from a simple belief:

There are incredibly talented women creating beautiful things behind the scenes — they simply need a bigger stage to be seen.

Across homes, small studios and workshops, women are creating with their hands, imagination and generations of knowledge. Some are artists. Some are mothers building something between family responsibilities. Some are skilled artisans carrying forward traditional crafts. Others are first-time entrepreneurs with a wonderful product but limited resources, reach or knowledge of how to take it to a larger market.

SheCanova exists to bring these women and their creations forward.

We are building a platform where creativity meets opportunity — connecting thoughtfully created products with people who appreciate craftsmanship, individuality, culture and the story behind what they buy.

How It All Began

A Note from Our Founder, Sugandha

I’m Sugandha, founder of SheCanova.

With a background in B.Sc. and MBA, I spent several years working with different companies in Dubai, gaining experience across businesses, people, marketing and the diverse culture of the UAE.

But somewhere between my professional journey, becoming a mother of two, and building a life away from India, I kept feeling that I wanted to create something of my own.

Not simply another business.

I wanted to build something meaningful. Something that could grow while helping other women grow with it.

Living in Dubai also made me appreciate my roots differently. Being surrounded by people from all over the world made me realise just how special the art, craftsmanship, colours, traditions and handmade skills we grow up around really are.

At the same time, I saw another side of that story.

I came across incredibly creative women making beautiful products from their homes and small workshops — women with talent, patience and ideas, but not always the time, resources, digital knowledge or market access needed to reach customers beyond their immediate circles.

And I kept thinking:

What if their talent could travel further?

What if a woman creating something beautiful in a small corner of India could see her work appreciated in a home in Dubai?

What if traditional craftsmanship could find a place in modern homes?

What if customers here could discover products that felt more personal, more meaningful and less mass-produced?

And what if one platform could help make those connections possible?

That thought became SheCanNova meaning "She Can Rise".

Through SheCanova, I want to bring those little pieces of culture into homes internationally — while presenting them in a way that feels relevant to today's lifestyles.

It is our way of taking heritage beyond borders.

Of allowing traditional skills to evolve, travel and be discovered by new generations and new cultures.

And of reminding people that handmade isn't simply a style.

There is a person behind it.
